Small Orders of Custom Apparel

Many customers come to us looking to buy a handful of custom apparel items.  We are happy to accommodate any order, but the problem comes when the customer expects to pay our minimum prices per item.  I will explain the challenges and options to small orders in terms of a t-shirt order.

Silk screen apparel is meant to be extremely affordable in large quantities.  In small quantities (smaller than 25) it is harder to cover the initial set-up costs.  We still work hard to give you the best prices available, but it is not possible to charge the same amount for 5 shirts as for 25.

However, there are options to make it affordable when you only need a few shirts right now.

The most obvious option would be to order more shirts.  Maybe you only need a few shirts now, but in a few months you will need more.  With a little bit of planning you can save money buy ordering for the future and saving the shirts until you need them.

Ordering more shirts may not be an option because you don’t know what size shirts you will need.  If you are ordering shirts for future employees, there is not way to know which size shirts you’ll need.  One option in this case is to make transfer sheets.  We can print transfer sheets in the screen printing press just as easily as printing apparel.  These transfer sheets are then saved for future use.  When new shirts are needed, the transfer sheets are applied using a heat press to make custom shirts whenever they are needed.

Maybe you only need a couple shirts as a custom present and you’ll never need more.  In this case the heat press might again be the answer.  We can create whatever design you want that can be heat pressed onto a shirt with no set-up cost.
